Every annotation carries a visible link back to where it came from. Annotated sends readers to the original instead of replacing it. Show your work; cite your receipts.
Fair use cuts both ways
Clips stay short and link out, so quoting is fair game. Publishers can dispute genuine breaches — over-length clips, missing links, full reposts — but nobody gets to make a fair argument vanish because it stings.
